How it all Started
I have always had a passion for making blankets. After my grandson Oliver was diagnosed with autism, I did a ton of research to understand and help him.
Through my research, I found that a large part of autism involved the sensory experiences and that a weighted blanket can help those who experience sensory issues. Oliver and I would often visit the fabric store to find more fabrics and I would give Oliver bolts of fabric to occupy him while out. When he found a color or texture of fabric he liked, we would keep it. This is what started our “O picks the fabric and I make the blanket”.
